Thank you for choosing Elizah, a conversational AI recruiter assistant designed to help agencies and recruiters streamline and improve their recruitment workflow.

We take privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information handled through the Elizah platform and chat widget.


Our core principle is simple:

We use all data exclusively to support and improve the recruitment process and for no other purpose.
We never use candidate or agency data for advertising, marketing, resale, or any unrelated activity.

 



1. Overview


Elizah is an AI-powered assistant installed on our clients’ websites. It engages incoming candidates through a chat widget, asks dynamic questions relevant to the candidate’s background and the job they are applying for, and helps recruiters gather accurate, structured information efficiently.


Candidates may also upload their résumé/CV, which we parse to accelerate the screening process.


To provide this service, Elizah processes some personal data on behalf of the recruiting agency. We do not use this data to build profiles for advertising, marketing, resale, or any unrelated purpose. All processing is strictly for the benefit of the recruitment workflow.



2. Information We Collect


We collect information in two main contexts:


2.1 Candidate-Provided Information

Name, email, phone number

Work history, education, certifications

Skills, specialties, experience level

Uploaded résumé/CV file

Answers to Elizah’s dynamic questions

Any other information voluntarily shared in the conversation


2.2 Recruiter/Agency Information

Account details (email, password, business information)

Preferences, settings, and plugin configuration

Metadata needed for authentication and access logging


2.3 Automatically Collected Technical Data

Browser type, device type, approximate location (non-precise)

Usage logs and chat interaction metadata

Timestamps of access


We do not collect sensitive financial information, social insurance numbers, or unrelated personal data unless explicitly provided by the candidate.



3. How We Use the Information


Information from candidates and recruiters is used solely to support, enhance, and automate the recruitment process, including:

Screening and organizing candidate profiles

Extracting and structuring résumé data

Asking job-specific and candidate-specific questions

Matching candidates to job requirements

Assisting recruiters with evaluations

Providing analytics or insights (if enabled by the agency)

Maintaining the platform, improving accuracy, and providing support


We do not use candidate data for:

Marketing or advertising

Selling to third parties

Training unrelated AI models

Profiling outside recruitment purposes


All usage of data is confined strictly to your agency’s recruitment activities.



4. Use of Third-Party Services


To deliver accurate and reliable AI-powered insights, Elizah may rely on trusted third-party service providers such as:

AI language models (e.g., OpenAI)

Cloud hosting providers

Document parsing services

Secure file storage (e.g., encrypted storage buckets)

 

While we use this data strictly to support your recruitment process, third-party providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

We select reputable providers and use secure transmission methods to safeguard all information.

All third-party providers are selected based on their compliance with modern privacy and security standards.



5. Data Storage and Security


We take technical and organizational measures to protect all information, including:

Encrypted data storage

Encrypted network transport (HTTPS/TLS)

Access control through user accounts with passwords

Strict role-based permissions

Audit logs and monitoring

Isolated sandbox environments for processing


The Elizah database and associated storage are accessible only to authenticated users within your organization and to authorized system components.



6. Data Retention


We retain data only for as long as it is needed to support recruitment activities or as required by law.


Agencies may request deletion of candidate data or their entire workspace at any time. Once deletion is confirmed, information is removed from active systems within a reasonable timeframe.



7. Data Ownership


7.1 Candidate Data


All candidate information collected through Elizah belongs to the recruiting agency.

Elizah acts as a data processor on behalf of the agency.


7.2 Agency Data


All internal agency settings, preferences, and stored information remain the property of the agency.


We do not claim ownership over any content our clients or candidates provide.



8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies


Elizah may use minimal cookies or local storage strictly for:

Authentication

Maintaining session state

Improving chat experience


These are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.



9. Children’s Privacy


Elizah is not intended for individuals under 16 years of age.

We do not knowingly process data from minors.



10. International Transfers


Some third-party service providers may process data in different regions (e.g., United States).

We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections.



11. Client Control & Rights


Agencies may at any time:

Request deletion of candidate or organization data

Export their data

Disable or uninstall the widget

Adjust what data is collected during conversations


Candidates may request correction or deletion of their information by contacting the recruiting agency directly.



12. Changes to This Policy


We may update this policy from time to time.

If significant modifications are made, agencies will be notified in advance so they can review the changes comfortably.
